You can still print the entire project by selecting the top item in the tree (the project name). • Takeoff now remembers the width of the list box in the icon pick bar • NOTES about the new PLPack utility (introduced Feb. 6, 2007): This program repairs many database errors that can occur in a multi-user environment. If you experience errors when opening a particular project, first make sure no other users are using that project, then run PLPack. Open the project in PLPack, and click the Pack button. A backup will be made prior to repairing and reindexing the project. If you have problems opening all projects (or many of them), then it is possible that the System folder (which keeps the project names and user names) may be in need of repair. In PLPack, select Actions, and then Pack System Folder to repair and reindex this folder. If these steps do not resolve the issue, or if you encounter new problems after taking these steps, please contact us. • Project Title is now preserved when you Revert a project • Project names are now automatically rebuilt even if the project names table is deleted while takeoff is running Version 2.2.1.12 Notes (2007/03/09) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.11 • You can no longer (accidentally) resize outlines (tree views such as the takeoff locations) to be so small that they disappear completely. This has been fixed. • Catalog::Products: If you tried to resize the list, it would always shrink and would then not be restorable. This is fixed. Version 2.2.1.10 Notes (2007/02/19) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.9 • Added a "Clone" menu option to the Catalog. You can now, with one click, make a copy of a product, sub-assembly, part, component, or labor item. • PDOXUSRS.NET in C:\ root folder previously eliminated had come back. Gone again. • File::Open Project dialog - header was disappearing. Fixed. • Admin::Groups - intermittent hourglass cursor staying on. The program wasn't locked up, it was just showing an hourglass (with which one could, awkwardly, still click things). This is fixed. • Catalog - a progress indicator is now shown when building a large outline. • General - When resizing takeoff to be very small, sometimes the status bar would disappear - and not reappear unless takeoff is maximized! This is believed fixed now. Note: Prior to this version, scrollbars would appear to let you scroll around parts of takeoff which were too big to fit in the small program window. Now those parts are resized and the scrollbars do not appear. We are interested in hearing from anyone who would rather have the scrollbars. This does not affect items that normally scroll when there is too much data to fit, like the location tree or the takeoff grid. • Admin::Groups - Added some code to prevent groups from a previous version of a project from being improperly retained when reverting. Version 2.2.1.9 Notes (2007/02/08) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.8 • Fixed a problem in the Open Project dialog where not all projects would be shown. • In File::Revert, added the option to revert directly from the DeletedProjects folder. • In File::Revert, added the option to revert from ZIP files whose filenames do not match TK*.ZIP (this was necessary to make reverting from Deleted Projects work, but power users may find it helpful elsewhere). • In File::Revert, fixed a problem where you could not always revert the file you selected. Version 2.2.1.8 Notes (2007/02/07) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.7 • Options in Takeoff Item Editor work again. • In the bitmap selector dialog (where you bring in existing graphics to use for icons) there had been a lack of synchronization between the drive letter selector and the path selector. This is now fixed. Version 2.2.1.7 Notes (2007/02/06) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.6 • Type-ahead in the Contact editor "State" box now works. • Some users were not able to type in the "Comments" box in the takeoff item editor. This should be fixed now. • Cloning a location with a really long name resulted in a location with a name that was too long for the database. That is now fixed (the new name is truncated at the maximum length). • In Math Stuff, you can now use the "Usage" popup menu item to see where Choice sets are being used. • In the Catalog, you can now use the new "Usage" popup menu item to see where catalog items are being used. • In both Usage features mentioned above, there is now a "Print" button so that you can print out a long list of option or sub-item usages and work from the printout when modifying your catalog. • Introduced a new external utility: plPack. This replaces plRepair and plReindex. • Added support for the new green USB license keys. Version 2.2.1.6 Notes (2007/01/24) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.5 • The "Clone" feature sometimes would not copy all sublocations. This is now fixed. • When sending email to Takeoff Support, the takeoff settings are saved to a text file, zipped up, and the zip is sent as an attachment, instead of the settings being written into the message body. • We have temporarily disabled the new summary totals feature as some of its subtotals were sometimes disagreeing with their counterparts on the material and labor summary pages. This feature will return when it's ready for prime time. Version 2.2.1.5 Notes (2007/01/19) --------------------- Changes from version 2.2.1.4 • The final resolution of the disappearing indexes in /system: Tables in the System folder are now kept in sync with templates in the Empty folder as project tables already are. • Auto-Update - report templates were being extracted to the wrong directory. This is fixed, although you don't need to download a Takeoff update to get this fix, because the problem was with the reports CAB file on our server. • Takeoff now attempts to repair options that become corrupted. When you visit a product with corrupted options, you will be notified of the problem. This had had the effect of making the location outline disappear, "Invalid Index" errors, frozen hourglass-cursor, etc. Version 2.1.1.59 Notes (2007/01/02) --------------------- Changes from version 2.1.1.58 • Dragging and dropping Extra cost items was causing problems when the takeoff item in question was itself dragged and dropped into the takeoff. The mechanism for adding Extra cost items has been changed as a result, and is now consistent with our Options selector. • Also in the Extra cost items selector - prior to this version, when you deleted an Extra cost, you could not re-add it until you left and re-entered the item editor. This has now been fixed - re-added items will now show up and have the correct quantity. • Fixed a minor problem in which you could have extra Material costs but no other material costs (usually due to no material styles being selected) and the item editor would incorrectly warn you that there were no material costs at all. Version 2.1.1.57 Notes (2006/12/13) --------------------- Changes from version 2.1.1.56 • Optimized project-space validation measures, which had been causing serious delays on installations with large numbers of projects. A limitation of the Windows operating system is that very large file or subdirectory counts can cause slow performance, therefore this problem can be ameliorated to a large extent by archiving projects that are no longer referenced, and moving them to another directory. Also, if you are replacing an existing version of takeoff, please un-install the prior version before running the new setup program. (2) Run the SETUP.EXE for a new installation or Help-Auto Update for incremental installs. Installing Hasp Driver ------------------------------ An option is presented to instal the Hasp driver during the installation process. If you did not install the driver at this point in time and wish to do so now you may by navigating to the installed Peoplelogic directory in Explorer, and running hdd32.exe.
